New Zealand College of Midwives Biennial National Conference
2018 - Energy Events Centre, Rotorua
2016 - SkyCity Convention Centre, Auckland
2014 - Claudelands, Hamilton
2012 - Michael Fowler Centre, Wellington
This is the fourth time we have managed this large-scale conference. The theme on this year’s conference was based on women’s value in society, the work of mothers and midwives along with gender equality. Held at the Energy Events Centre in Rotorua, with over 600 delegates, 50 exhibition spaces, 41 concurrent sessions, four workshops, four panel discussions, annual general meeting and a number of keynote and invited speakers.
Ministry for Primary Industries
Food and Fibre Innovation Conference
2017 - TSB Arena and Shed 6, Wellington
2016 - TSB Arena and Shed 6, Wellington
Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) hosted this one day conference in 2017, and it was the second time we had the opportunity to manage it on their behalf (The event had grown over the years and tenders were sourced to manage the logistics of the event). The conference encompassed an Annual Meeting, Exhibition and Networking Expo and Conference.
Hospice New Zealand Palliative Care Conference
2018 - Cordis, Auckland
2016 - The Langham, Auckland
2014 - Te Papa, Wellington
2012 - The Langham, Auckland
It was delightful to be back at the beautiful Cordis Auckland (rebranded from Langham Auckland), in 2018 for the 23rd Hospice New Zealand Palliative Care Conference. The Hospice New Zealand conference is special to us, as they are always such warm and generous delegates and as such it’s really important that the conference reflects this too.
Joan Donley Midwifery Research Forum
2017 - Christchurch
2015 - Napier
2013 - Queentown
2011 - New Plymouth
It is our pleasure to have managed the Joan Donley Midwifery Research Forum four times, and a fifth time this year.
Over the years, forum has grown in size (most years it sells out, with a waiting list), but we want to ensure the intent and connection of the forum remains the same. All the while, having a very different feel and outcomes, the midwifery biennial conference held in the opposite year.
2018 - Christ’s College, Christchurch
We were delighted to have the opportunity to manage the 16th National CLESOL Conference for Community Languages (CL) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). It was the first time the conference had been with a different professional conference organiser in over a decade, so there was a bit of added pressure!
Osteopathy for Children
2016 - Rydges Latimer, Christchurch
This was a unique conference, at the time of the Christchurch earthquakes donations were made to Christchurch Osteopaths. The small fund was used as seeding funds to start this conference.
The Council for Australasian University Tourism and Hospitality Education
2013 - Lincoln University, Christchurch
CAUTHE entrusted us with their first conference outside Australia. Held over four days, and with delegates from around the world, it was the ideal opportunity to promote New Zealand, and post-earthquake Christchurch, as a destination.
Alzheimer’s New Zealand Biennial Conference
2014 - Sir Howard Morrison Performing Arts Centre, Rotorua
With NZ and international dementia experts in attendance, this was the opportunity to showcase exciting developments in the areas of research, prevention and treatment of dementia.
New Zealand Dementia Summit
2015 - Te Papa, Wellington
This was the first summit held of it’s kind in New Zealand, with a collaboration between New Zealand Dementia Co-operative, Alzheimer’s New Zealand and Carers New Zealand.
